Subaru Windscreen Replacement

Why Are Subaru Windscreens Costing More to Replace?

The windscreen on your Subaru vehicle not only shields you from bugs but also ensures a clear view ahead as you navigate the road.

The rising costs of Subaru windscreens can be attributed to various factors. Firstly, when you invest in a new windscreen, you're essentially purchasing a dual-layered structure.

These windscreens comprise two panes of specially engineered safety glass with a laminate sheet in between, preventing the glass from shattering into dangerous shards upon impact.

Furthermore, most modern vehicles come equipped with a multitude of features integrated into their windscreens. From rain sensors and heated windscreen technology to light sensors, heads-up displays, solar reflective capabilities, and lane departure warning systems.

When considering the replacement of a windscreen for your Subaru, it's essential to acknowledge the additional costs associated with these safety features.

If you need a windscreen replacement, that’s where AutoGuru can help you find the experts to lend a hand.

Ultra Tune Ringwood

I sent my car to get rid of ac noise (which I got fixed by manufacturer couple of years back by getting ac fan cleaned) and rear break pad replacement. Ultratune Ringwood gave me a quote of $1500 - 750 for ac and 750 for break pads. As per them, AC had leakage and rear break pad has to be installed together with disk (outlander can’t have only pads installed as per them). I didn’t want them to work on my car as i felt it not right. I paid diagnostic fee and took my car back. The ac had a new hissing sound and when I argued, they said there is leakage and gas is low, not their fault. When I insisted that they have done something wrong, they told me that they will help me by filling the gas in. I stood in workshop and mechanic initially told me that he will replace the valves but when I opposed, he simply tightened it and filled the gas and ac started working normal again. It was interesting to see what they actually did and what I was quoted for. Had I gone ahead with them, would have lost so much money. I wonder how gas leak happened which was fixed without replacing a single part.
