Fleet Card says that they streamline accounting and admin, save-decision makers time and money and arm managers with actionable insight.
It’s accepted at a massive 90% of fuel sites across Australia. That’s right, Fleet Card isn’t exclusive to just one fuel brand!
Fuel brands that accept Fleet Card include Shell, Caltex, BP, Mobil, United, 7-Eleven, Liberty and Puma. In total, there’s about 5,700 locations.
It appears that using the Fleet Card at the Shell/Coles Express network may grant you further discounts.
What are the benefits of Fleet Card?
Besides being accepted at so many fuel retailers, the Fleet Card fuel card has a range of other benefits.
Control - Administrators are able to monitor card spend and restrict purchases
Streamline - Receive one monthly consolidated tax invoice to simplify your accounting
Savings - Save on fuel from their national fuel partner network
Access partnerships - Fleet Card’s partnership network extends to over 6,000 servicing, tyres, parts and auto glass partners.
What are the card options?
Fleet Card has two fuel card options available.
Fleet Card Blue - Provides access to fuel and oil only.
Fleet Card Orange - Provides access to fuel, oil and repairs.
How much does it cost to join Fleet Card?
There is no joining fee for Fleet Card.
Are there other fees?
Account management fee - $0
Card fee - as notified in writing from time to time
Transaction fee - as notified in writing from time to time
Interest - 0.066% calculated daily on any overdue balance
Visa processing fee - 1.15%
Mastercard - 1.21%
American Express - 2.5%
Inactive card fee - $4.99 per month
Is there an interest-free period?
Yes. Up to 51 days interest-free.
What is the eligibility criteria?
Besides only being available for business accounts, the Fleet Card website does not specify any particular eligibility criteria.
What do you need to apply for Fleet Card?
- Business details such as ABN/ACN
- Owner or director’s details (Driver license)
- Driver and/or vehicle details
