Yes. For logbook services, the service provider will sign and stamp your logbook to meet manufacturer requirements. If the service provider has not stamped your logbook, please contact them directly to arrange a time for them to stamp your logbook.

Mercedes-Benz Blind Spot Monitoring Sensor Installation

Blind spot monitoring technology features a sensor device that detects when other vehicles are located to the side or rear of your Mercedes-Benz. When the sensor becomes aware of another vehicle it will alert the driver with lights, sound, vibration or even instigate autonomous crash avoidance intervention.

Blind spot technology uses radar, sonar, electromagnetic waves or camera imagery to detect if another vehicle is getting too close to your Mercedes-Benz or if you are about to move into a space that is already occupied.

In some systems, cameras are placed inside side mirrors and relay information to a computer. Other systems use electromagnetic waves that are emitted and which then bounce back off nearby traffic. These are usually mounted on the rear of the Mercedes-Benz. Newer systems use radar or sonar to monitor traffic, warn the driver when necessary and alter a vehicle’s direction if necessary.
