Seat Diesel intake clean

Does My Seat Need a Diesel Intake Clean?

Seat’s that run on diesel fuel can accumulate deposits, such as carbon, resin, fuel & oil residue. Over time these deposits will build up in the Seat’s intake, throttle body and engine. If left to accumulate these nasty deposits can turn into harmful black sludge and impede the airflow and operation of mechanical parts.

Cleaning solvents are used to dissolve and flush the deposits out of the Seat’s intake system and the engine without having to pull everything apart. Over the long term, regular diesel intake cleaning can save time, money and aid in maintaining a Seat’s reliability.

Some benefits of cleaning a Seat’s diesel intake:

  • increased vehicle reliability
  • improved performance
  • freeing up of clogged parts and ensuring full mechanical operation
  • reduced fuel consumption

When using an intake cleaner on a diesel engine the mechanic will use a cleaner that is safe to use on Seat with exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and diesel particulate filter (DPF).

If the intake is really dirty an intake cleaner might not be enough. If that’s the case then the intake system components will need to be pulled apart and removed from the Seat and then manually cleaned. Price would depend on the work involved to get the Seat clean.
