Is Your Audi Handbrake Cable Holding up, or Does It Need Replacing?

Whether you call it a parking brake, emergency brake or handbrake, it doesn’t really matter - they all have just one function and that is to mechanically stop your Audi from moving forward or backwards.

If your Audi has an electric handbrake it won't have a handbrake cable but for the remaining majority when the handbrake is activated, a cable is used to squeeze the brake shoes or pads onto the brake drums or discs.
