Yes. For logbook services, the service provider will sign and stamp your logbook to meet manufacturer requirements. If the service provider has not stamped your logbook, please contact them directly to arrange a time for them to stamp your logbook.

If you booked through AutoGuru and your booking has been confirmed, you can reschedule to a new date or time. Simply click the 'manage my booking' link on your booking confirmation email. If you’ve booked with a workshop, the service provider will usually require your vehicle for the entire day due to scheduling. If you’ve booked with a mobile provider, you will only be without your vehicle for the time it takes to complete the job. Find out more

Is Your BMW in Need of Sunroof Repairs?

The sunroof is a panel that slides out of the way to expose a window in a BMW’s roof. The window can then either tilt open or completely slide open, allowing the BMW’s occupants to see outside and/or allow fresh air into the cabin from above.

The sunroof allows the window to be exposed or hidden as per the driver’s preference, so they can control sun exposure and decrease visibility into the BMW, when required.

The term sunroof can also encapsulate the complete unit, including the glass, track assembly, motor, rails and cover panel.

With sunroofs the longer you leave a problem the more likely it will get worse unless it has failed altogether, then it’s just a hole in the roof that you can’t enjoy. If there is water leakage in a BMW it could become a health issue. Depending on how bad the leak is, water can cause permanent damage to the interior of the BMW.

If the BMW sunroof motor is not working properly or the tracks are not functioning properly then it will be a struggle to use it and you run the risk of it eventually getting stuck in the open position, then you will only be able to drive on blue sky days.

Most importantly, if you ever plan on selling the BMW, it will be more difficult to sell with a non-functioning sunroof. No one wants to pay for a hole in the roof if they can’t enjoy it.

Which section of the hundreds depends on the issue, which BMW make and model and what parts are required. If the sunroof needs to be removed from the BMW it will be a higher cost due to the additional labour involved.
