Why Do Land Rover Water Pumps Need to Be Replaced?
The water pump on your Land Rover is what controls the coolant flow through your engine and radiator.

This is one of the reasons why mechanics suggest the water pump is replaced at the same time as the timing belt, as they are typically in the same location.
The last thing you want to do is replace a Land Rover timing belt and then have a leak in the water pump soon after. It's best practice to have them both replaced at the same time to save on time and money.
