Yes. For logbook services, the service provider will sign and stamp your logbook to meet manufacturer requirements. If the service provider has not stamped your logbook, please contact them directly to arrange a time for them to stamp your logbook.

Can I Remove My Bmw's Window Tint?

If the existing window tint on your BMW has discoloured, started bubbling away from the window, or is going cloudy or blocking visibility at all, you will need to have the window tint removed so your vehicle is roadworthy. It will also need to be removed if you are looking to replace that bad tint job with a superior more professional tint job.

A window tint that's gone bad can be a distraction and make driving dangerous as you can't see out of the vehicle clearly and will need to be removed as soon as possible unless you want to receive a fine.

Another reason you may need to have window tint removed is a tint that is too dark. Depending on what state you live in, the allowable VLT (Visible Light Transmission) of your BMW's tint will vary, and moving between states will require removal of tint that does not comply with the laws of that state.

Older window tint can be quite difficult to remove, as the top layer will delaminate from the adhesive that was originally used to bond the window tint to your BMW's windows. A special adhesive remover and a scraper can be used to remove the adhesive layer and any leftover adhesive that remains on the glass, before being thoroughly cleaned to restore visibility to the BMW's glass.

Tint removal costs can vary depending on your BMW, the type of tint that has been installed and the state of the tint. Basic tint removal can start at $80 and move up to $250 and above, however, many installers will carry out tint removal cheaper or include the price of old tint removal if a new tint is being applied to your BMW afterwards.

Any window tinting business will be able to remove old tint from your BMW and depending on your location, a mobile window tinter may be able to remove tint at your home or workplace, so you can get on with your day.
