They changed my car battery and did not secure the new battery properly, saying they had no time or whatever and want me to bring the car back and then pay them to have their own error fixed. Mind you I paid for a new battery and fitting so I expect the new battery to be secure but no these people did not.
Hi Austine, You seem to be somewhat confused about the events of yesterday, however, we are happy to clarify things for you. You booked your car in for front brake work. We purchased all the parts for your pending booking in advance. You then contacted us and requested us to change your booking to a day earlier, to better fit your schedule, we accommodated your request. When your vehicle arrived we discovered it did not require front but rear brake work. We advised you this was the case and that the cost would be significantly less than you were expecting. We had to return all the parts we had ordered and order new parts that your car actually needed. You then requested that we quote you for a battery as yours failed load testing as indicated by your car’s warning system. You accepted the quote and asked us to replace the battery so we ordered you a replacement. When we went to replace the battery we found that the housing was broken and your current battery was unsecured in your car. Given the sequence of events we did not discover this until late in the afternoon and we did not have time to do extra repairs on your broken vehicle. We installed the new battery and advised you that due to safety reasons the housing would require repair and we could repair it on another day, at your convenience, or you could take it elsewhere to have the repairs done. As I am sure you would agree, we are not responsible for work done by previous repairers who have damaged your vehicle. I can understand your frustration but I think what you meant to say was, thank you so much for all your help, honesty, and flexibility. Hopefully, this clarifies things.
