This was our first experience with Lube Mobile to replace a battery that had died in one of our vehicles. I would not recommend using this service. After being quoted and paying online, the mechanic arrived outside of the booked time slot and said that his office had put a more expensive battery in his van and that it would actually cost more than quoted. After some determined hard selling by the mechanic for us to take the expensive battery at an extra cost, he finally agreed to return with a battery at the quoted price. After installing the battery and warning lights appearing on the cluster, he said this wouldn't happen if we had taken the more expensive battery and asked if we wanted to purchase it again. He said he would need time to diagnose and proceeded to spend an hour trying to get the warnings off of the dashboard. During this time we diagnosed via a quick google search that it was the car requiring a short drive for sensor calibration purposes and when suggested problem was satisfied. The process took between 2-3 hours. I acknowledge this may be an unfortunate isolated incident with the mechanic that visited us on that particular day and gave 2 stars since the issue was eventually rectified but it was by no means an unpleasant or care-free encounter (was not the fixed price at a time that suited me as advertised).
