This is my second visit to Ultra Tune Kew, as I was very happy the first time. The car needed a logbook service (150,000 km) and two front tyres. As an elderly female pensioner, I know little about cars, and these people were aware of that and did not try to take advantage of me. They were understanding of a family crisis I was in the middle of and helped me out with a good job at a fair price. They even gave my car a free wheel alignment and sent it home looking sparkling after a quick wash. I have no mechanical knowledge. All I know is my car feels happier and my wallet is not totally empty.

The young mechanics at Menzies Auto Service were efficient and friendly and so prompt in fixing my car, it wasn’t booked in but I broke down and barely just made it to the service station next door.

The team were great and met all needs of the service I wanted.

The guy spoke aggressively, communicating with an attitude that should not be present in professional communication. Will not come back again.

I'd recommend them to any and everyone, if you just started owning a car or even just have been driving for a while and need a new mechanic this is the place to go.

Always a great experience with the Kew Ultra Tune guys. John and the team are always thorough and take a long term view to your vehicle's maintenance needs. Some people think a car shouldn't cost anything to maintain - but seem to forget it's a complicated thing that needs bits fixed and maintained. Told I would get call at 2pm, no call, had to go there myself. No vacuum, reasons for defaults, different looking tyre? Dirty headlights, seat base, aircon vents?!

I told them I was in the hunt for a new mechanic as mine was retiring so I thought they would be wanting to impress me. They weren't forthcoming with any information about my vehicle. I had to really probe for responses upon pick up. They did the very basic (at least I hope they did) and didn't check the tyres, brakes etc. Offered extras of free vacuum and wash and I selected both. They gave it a wash but no vacuum.

When for a re-gas. After the service, was told that the gas level was low and that the workshop added 50gm of the gas in the aircon unit. It takes some time for the cooling effect to kick in but even then it is not much better than before the service.

Usman, unfortunate your experience at PPA was not at the level you expected.  Adding to your comments, I will make the point that PPA acted on your instruction, changing parts you requested.  It was only after parts had been changed where additional replacement parts where required.  As a small business, we cannot be expected to act on our valued customer's behalf changing parts multiple times for diagnostic solutions and be expected to wear costs, especially when the decision to change these parts are not that of our own. Furthermore, it seems you have omitted in your review comments that a substantial discount was given on the basis of “goodwill”, even though the fault of changing unrequired parts was not that of PPA.
