Yes. For logbook services, the service provider will sign and stamp your logbook to meet manufacturer requirements. If the service provider has not stamped your logbook, please contact them directly to arrange a time for them to stamp your logbook.

If you booked through AutoGuru and your booking has been confirmed, you can reschedule to a new date or time. Simply click the 'manage my booking' link on your booking confirmation email. If you need help email contactus@autoguru.com.au. If you cancel or don't show up and don't reschedule (and you have prepaid in advance), a $20 cancellation fee will apply.

If you’ve booked with a workshop, the service provider will usually require your vehicle for the entire day due to scheduling. If you’ve booked with a mobile provider, you will only be without your vehicle for the time it takes to complete the job. Find out more

Does My Toyota Catalytic Converter Need to Be Replaced?

If your Toyota has an internal combustion engine (ICE) it will have a catalytic converter.

The catalytic converter minimizes the pollutants that exit your tailpipe whenever your engine is running.

Catalytic converters are part of the exhaust system. When the engines toxic gases enter the catalytic converter they convert to less toxic pollutants, due to a reaction that occurs inside the catalytic converter.

Your Toyota will run without a catalytic converter however due to environmental regulations it's illegal to do so and you can be fined. They are a useful tool to reduce harmful pollutants from entering the environment.

If your Toyota catalytic converter is faulty you may notice a bad smell coming from the exhaust, or a rattly noise under the car. If the catalytic converter is clogged up the exhaust gases can't escape and it will cause issues with the drivability of the vehicle, lack performance, fuel consumption will increase and the car might not run at all.

Other running problems can cause the catalytic converter on your Toyota to fail, and it may need to be replaced. If that happens, it’s good to know AutoGuru!
