Yes. For logbook services, the service provider will sign and stamp your logbook to meet manufacturer requirements. If the service provider has not stamped your logbook, please contact them directly to arrange a time for them to stamp your logbook.

If you booked through AutoGuru and your booking has been confirmed, you can reschedule to a new date or time. Simply click the 'manage my booking' link on your booking confirmation email. If you need help email contactus@autoguru.com.au. If you cancel or don't show up and don't reschedule (and you have prepaid in advance), a $20 cancellation fee will apply.

If you’ve booked with a workshop, the service provider will usually require your vehicle for the entire day due to scheduling. If you’ve booked with a mobile provider, you will only be without your vehicle for the time it takes to complete the job. Find out more

Why Doesn't My Mazda Manual Gearbox Get Into Gear?

If your Mazda is a manual, there are various reasons why the gearbox could have trouble shifting into the desired gear, the most common are:

Clutch system - The Mazda clutch connects the engine of the vehicle to its wheels. And, when you press the clutch with the foot, it disconnects the engine. There are various different parts of the clutch. The pedal connects to a hydraulic system which includes a master cylinder and slave cylinder, the slave cylinder connects to a clutch fork which connects to the clutch and pressure plates. If any of these parts are not working correctly they can make it difficult to change into the desired gear.

Synchroniser ring - The synchronizer ring makes it effortless to change gears if one of the teeth are damaged or malfunctioning it could make changing gears difficult

Gears - If the Mazda gears are damaged or not functioning properly

Hub sleeve - The hub sleeve engages the gears and if it is not moving freely it could make it hard to shift.

You could have trouble trying to shift into gear, there could be a whining noise or a clunking noise or in the case of the clutch, it could have a burning smell or it could be hard to push in.

Depending on whether it's internal or external to the gearbox will make a difference in what's required for the repair and the cost.

If you don't get your gearbox repaired when you start to notice an issue changes gears on your Mazda you could lose drive completely or cause more internal damage.
